Giancarlo Giannini, Italian actor, director, producer, and screenwriter
Giancarlo Giannini (born 1 August 1942) is an Italian actor, voice actor, film director and screenwriter. He won a Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actor for his performance in Love and Anarchy (1973) and received an Academy Award for Best Actor nomination for his performance in Seven Beauties (1975). Among his other roles, he played French MI6 agent Rene Mathis in the James Bond films Casino Royale (2006) and Quantum of Solace (2008). As a voice dubber, Giannini is best known as the main Italian voice of Al Pacino.
