John Stehr, American journalist
John Stehr (born August 20, 1958, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), is an American television journalist. He recently retired as full-time lead anchor at NBC affiliate WTHR in Indianapolis, Indiana. He and his wife Amy reside in Zionsville, Indiana, and have five children. After 23 and a half years at WTHR, he retired on December 21, 2018, and will retain the title as WTHR’s “Anchor Emeritus”.
Stehr attended Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, and is the only member of his class to receive a "Distinguished Alumni" award. He graduated with a dual-degree (Communications/Political Science) in 1980. His children are named Morgan, Connor, Jeanie, Riley, and Meredith.
