Seewoosagur Ramgoolam, Mauritian physician and politician, 1st Prime Minister of Mauritius (b. 1900)

Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam (September 18, 1900 – December 15, 1985; often referred to as Chacha Ramgoolam) was a Mauritian physician, politician, and statesman. He served as the island's only chief minister, first prime minister, and fifth governor-general.
