Marc Staal

Marc Staal, Canadian ice hockey player

Marc Staal (born January 13, 1987) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman and alternate captain for the Detroit Red Wings in the National Hockey League (NHL) after having played nearly 900 regular season games with the New York Rangers.

He is the 2nd oldest of the Staal brothers to play in the NHL. Of the four brothers, Marc is the only defenceman, as well as the only one who has never played for the Carolina Hurricanes.
