Stellan Skarsgård, Swedish actor

Stellan Skarsgård (, Swedish: [ˈstɛ̂lːan ˈskɑ̌ːʂɡoːɖ] (listen); born 13 June 1951) is a Swedish actor. He is known for his roles as Captain Viktor Tupolev in spy film The Hunt for Red October (1990), Jan Nyman in drama film Breaking the Waves (1996), Professor Gerald Lambeau in drama film Good Will Hunting (1997), Gregor in action film Ronin (1998), Cerdic in historical film King Arthur (2004), Father Lankester Merrin in horror film Exorcist: The Beginning (2004) and Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist (2005), Bootstrap Bill Turner in fantasy film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006) and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007), Bill Anderson in musical film Mamma Mia! (2008) and the sequel Mamma Mia!
