Tobias Schweinsteiger (pronounced [ˈtobi̯as ˈʃvaɪ̯nʃtaɪ̯ɡɐ] (listen); born 12 March 1982) is a retired German footballer. As player he was deployed as a midfielder or forward. He is the older brother of former German international Bastian Schweinsteiger.
