Doug Jarvis, Canadian ice hockey player and coach

Douglas McArthur Jarvis (born March 24, 1955) is a former Canadian professional ice hockey forward who played for the Montreal Canadiens, Washington Capitals and Hartford Whalers in the National Hockey League. Jarvis never missed a regular season game in his NHL career, which began on October 8, 1975, and ran until 1987; from 1986 until 2022, he held the NHL's longest-ever iron man streak. He previously served as an assistant coach for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. He is currently a Senior Advisor for the Vancouver Canucks.
