Adrian Lyne, English director, producer, and screenwriter

Adrian Lyne (born 4 March 1941) is an English film director, writer and producer. Having begun his career directing 1970s television commercials, Lyne made well-received short films which were entries in the London Film Festival. He started making feature length films in 1980 and is known for sexually charged stories and characters, often using stylised light.He is best known for directing Flashdance, 9½ Weeks, Fatal Attraction, Jacob's Ladder and Indecent Proposal. For directing Fatal Attraction, Lyne received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Director.
