Mario Chalmers, American basketball player
Almario Vernard "Mario" Chalmers (born May 19, 1986) is an American professional basketball player for the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA G League. He was selected as the 34th overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves after playing three seasons of college basketball for the University of Kansas, including being a part of the 2007–08 national championship team. Chalmers is the only Alaskan to win a championship in the high school, college, and pro levels. Chalmers was named the 2006–07 Co-Defensive Player of the Year and the Most Outstanding Player of the 2008 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament.
