Jeff Agoos, Swiss-American soccer player, manager, and sportscaster

Jeffrey Alan Agoos (born May 2, 1968) is a American retired professional soccer who played as a defender. He one of the all-time appearance leaders for the United States national team. Agoos served as the Sporting Director for the New York Red Bulls, and currently is the Vice President of Competition for Major League Soccer.

Agoos won a record five MLS championships: three with D.C. United, and two with the San Jose Earthquakes. He also won the 1996 U.S. Open Cup, and was the 2001 MLS Defender of the Year. He was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2009.
