Wilbert Awdry , autor inglés, co-creador de Thomas the Tank Engine (m. 1997)
Wilbert Vere Awdry (15 de junio de 1911 - 21 de marzo de 1997) fue un ministro anglicano inglés, entusiasta de los ferrocarriles y autor de libros infantiles. Fue mejor conocido por crear Thomas the Tank Engine. Thomas y varios otros personajes que creó aparecieron en su Serie Ferroviaria.
