Gerardo Torrado, Mexican footballer
Gerardo Torrado Díez de Bonilla (born 30 April 1979) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder and current sporting director of the Mexican Football Federation. His style of playing is commonly known to be rough in the field but with good recovery of the ball and effective passing abilities.
He was capped for the Mexico national team 146 times. He represented the nation at the 2002, 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cups and has won three CONCACAF Gold Cup tournaments.He spent the majority of his club career with Cruz Azul, whom he captained to CONCACAF Champions League success in 2014.
