Simon Goodwin, Australian footballer and coach
Simon Goodwin (born 26 December 1976) is an Australian rules football coach and former player. He has been the senior coach of the Melbourne Football Club of the Australian Football League (AFL) since 2017.
As a player, Goodwin tallied 275 AFL games, all as a midfielder for the Adelaide Football Club between 1996 and 2010. He won two premierships with the Crows in 1997 and 1998, was a five-time All-Australian, and captained Adelaide for his final three seasons. Goodwin was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame as a player in 2017.
