Reinhold Glière, Russian composer and academic (d. 1956)
Reinhold Moritzevich Glière (born Reinhold Ernest Glier, which was later converted for standardization purposes; Russian: Рейнгольд Морицевич Глиэр; 11 January 1875 [O.S. 30 December 1874] – 23 June 1956), was a Russian and Soviet composer of Ukrainian, German and Polish descent. In 1938, he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR.
