Mounir El Hamdaoui, Moroccan footballer
Mounir El Hamdaoui (Berber: ⵎⵓⵏⵉⵔ ⴻⵍ ⵃⴰⵎⴷⴰⵡⵉ, Arabic: منير الحمداوي; born 14 July 1984) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Dutch Hoofdklasse club DHSC.He previously played for Excelsior, Tottenham Hotspur, Derby County, Willem II, AZ Alkmaar and Ajax, before joining Fiorentina in 2012. In the 2008–09 Eredivisie, El Hamdaoui was named Dutch Footballer of the Year and became the Eredivisie top scorer as AZ Alkmaar won their second league title in their history.
Although being born in the Netherlands and having played for their Under-21 side, El Hamdaoui decided to represent Morocco, for whom he made his debut in February 2009 in a match against the Czech Republic.
