Eskender, Ethiopian emperor (d. 1494)
Eskender (Ge'ez: እስክንድር; 15 July 1471 – 7 May 1494) was Emperor of Ethiopia, his throne name was Kwestantinos II (Ge’ez: ቈስታንቲኖስ, "Constantine"), and a member of the Solomonic dynasty. He was the son of Emperor Baeda Maryam I by Romna.
Eskender had collected a number of Italian expatriates in his court, as he never allowed Italian visitors to return home.
