Chad Pennington, American football player and sportscaster
James Chadwick Pennington (born June 26, 1976) is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons, primarily with the New York Jets. He played college football at Marshall and was selected by the Jets in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft. After eight seasons with the Jets, he was a member of the Miami Dolphins in his last three seasons.
Pennington is the only player to win NFL Comeback Player of the Year twice, receiving the honor in 2006 and 2008. He is also the only quarterback other than Tom Brady to lead his team to an AFC East title between 2002 and 2019, doing so with the 2002 Jets and the 2008 Dolphins. Pennington is the eighth highest all-time leader in career completion percentage at 66.0%[1].
