Claude Jutra, Canadian actor, director and screenwriter (d. 1986)
Claude Jutra (French pronunciation: [klod ʒytʁa]; March 11, 1930 – November 5, 1986) was a Canadian actor, film director, and screenwriter.The Prix Jutra, and the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television's Claude Jutra Award, were named in his honour because of his importance in Quebec cinema history. The awards were renamed in 2016 following the publication of allegations that he had sexually abused children during his lifetime, as were streets named for him.
