Muawiya II, Umayyad caliph (d. 684)
Mu'awiya II (Arabic: معاوية بن يزيد, romanized: Muʿāwiya ibn Yazīd; c. 664 – 684 CE), was the third caliph of the Umayyad Caliphate. He ruled briefly from November 683 until his death, succeeding his father Yazid I. He was the last caliph of the Sufyanid line in the Umayyad dynasty and during his reign, the Umayyad authority temporarily collapsed in the Second Fitna.
