Evgeny Paton, French-Ukrainian engineer (d. 1953)
Professor Evgeny Oscarovich Paton (Russian: Евгений Оскарович Патон, Yevgeni Oskarovich Paton 1870–1953) was a Ukrainian and Soviet engineer of Ukrainian descent who established the E. O. Paton Electric Welding Institute in Kyiv. Paton was a people's deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union (1946–1953). He was the father of Borys Paton.
