Octavian Paler (Romanian pronunciation: [oktaviˈan ˈpalər] or [ˈpaler]; July 2, 1926 – May 7, 2007) was a Romanian writer, journalist, politician in Communist Romania, and civil society activist in post-1989 Romania.
