Callie Khouri, American director, producer, and screenwriter
Carolyn Ann "Callie" Khouri (born November 27, 1957) is an American film and television screenwriter, producer, and director. In 1992, she won the Academy Award for Best Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen for the film Thelma & Louise, which was controversial upon its release, but which subsequently became a classic. It was inducted into the Library of Congress National Film Registry in December 2016.

Her other films include Mad Money, released in 2008, and the biopic Respect in 2021. She also created the series Nashville, which premiered on ABC in 2012. The critics awarded it strong reviews and it ran for six seasons.
