Sian Williams, English-Welsh journalist
Dr Sian Mary Williams (CPsychol), DPsych, MBPsS, MBACP, BA (Hons), MSc, ([ˈʃɑn]; born 28 November 1964) is a Welsh journalist and current affairs presenter, best known for her work with the BBC. She is also a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health & Care Professionals Council.
From 2001 until 2012, Williams regularly presented weekday editions of BBC Breakfast as well as all main news bulletins on BBC One. She presented two series of BBC One's discussion programme Sunday Morning Live from 2014 until 2015.
Since January 2016, she has been the main presenter of 5 News at 5.In 2012 she began training in Psychology and was awarded a Doctorate of Counselling Psychology in 2021, after working in the NHS and elsewhere.
