In an October 2020 interview, Morrow said he received the moniker 'Cousin' while in the lobby of his mid-town Manhattan WABC studio when an elderly woman once asked him "Cousin, lend me fifty cents to get home" to whom he did give that fifty cents. The name stuck for six decades.
