Sandy Berger, American lawyer and politician, 19th United States National Security Advisor (d. 2015)
Samuel Richard "Sandy" Berger (October 28, 1945 – December 2, 2015) was a political consultant who served as the 19th United States National Security Advisor for President Bill Clinton from 1997 to 2001. Before that he served as the Deputy National Security Advisor for the Clinton Administration from 1993 to 1997.
In 2005, he was fined and sentenced to two years of probation plus community service for unauthorized removal of classified material from the National Archives. He gave up his license to practice law.
