Sandro Pertini, Italian journalist and politician, 7th President of Italy (d. 1990)
Alessandro "Sandro" Pertini (Italian: [(ales)ˈsandro perˈtiːni]; 25 September 1896 – 24 February 1990) was an Italian journalist, partisan and socialist politician who served as the president of Italy, from 1978 to 1985.
