The Spanish sovereign coterie of Castilla-La Mancha celebrates the Day of Castilla-La Mancha, which is a public holiday that falls on the 31st of May of every year. On that day in 1983, the first regional courts –also known as Cortes, roughly translated to local government– in Castilla-La Mancha were inaugurated.

Castilla-La Mancha is located in the middle of the Iberian Peninsula, and comprises the provinces of Albacete, Cuenca, and Toledo, amongst others. It is prominent for being one of the least populated regions of Spain. Albeit the capital city of Castilla-La Mancha in Toledo, the most populated province is its judicial capital city, Albacete.
